I ve got some stains in this cultured marble counter top. Cultured marble is a composite product of actual stone dust mixed with a binding product. Bleach will also corrode etch marble. Whether you decide to use cultured marble for a countertop in the kitchen or to create a sink in your bathroom this advantage is always present with this product.

I had burn marks on a cultured marble countertop that were caused by a young teenage daughter who mistakenly left her straightening iron sitting directly on top of it. Sand the burn marks of your cultured marble gently. The surface is susceptible to scratching burns and is affected by some chemicals. Etch marks are the result of the top layer of the marble wearing away due to the stain.

The look of cultured marble makes it look like you spent a fortune. This marble etching destroys the surface finish leaving dull and whitish colored spots or areas. The nice thing about cultured marble is it is all the same material all they way through. If you use sandpaper to remove the burn stain you can restore the shine on marble using etch remover which is applied as a polish.

There is no denying the fact that your cultured marble countertops are going to look great. So you can actually sand this out. Do not sand too deep or you risk ruining the countertop further. Maybe a cigarette burn.

The easiest way to remove a burn in a cultured marble vanity top is to use 400 grit wet dry sand paper on a sanding block in circular motions until the stain is gone. You can see here. However bleach can sometimes be helpful to remove discoloring from burn marks. Burns are physical damage to the marble countertop itself and not a stain that has absorbed into the pores.

Burn marks on marble can sometimes be scrubbed away with bathroom cleaner and a brush or a solution of bleach and water. Burn marks on cultured marble countertops can sometimes be sanded out with sandpaper. They re not super bad. But they are there.

I used a dishrag and glass cooktop cleaner to remove most of the burn with no problem whatsoever.
