Very stubborn mold colonies the kind that can sometimes form in natural stone shower stalls or tub surrounds will likely require granite gold grout cleaner. Carrara marble contains metallic particles inside the stone and over time water from the shower will penetrate the marble surface and rust the metallic components of the stone.

In general we recommend against using any of our tilex bathroom cleaners both with and without bleach on marble so i wouldn t advise bleach usage here. Don t try to work the soap into the stone. I googled and it seems to be safe to get on the marble but just to be sure i d probably be careful about it anyway.

Spray your shower s marble surfaces with the mixture. Calcium carbonate the primary compound in marble can be highly reactive to both acidic and alkaline cleaners. Dry the marble after each use to prevent mold growth. Using vertical or horizontal strokes gently rub the solution onto the shower walls paying extra attention to areas with mildew or soap scum.

If possible excess water from the shower base and surrounding areas should be squeezed out after each shower to prevent water stains. Open a window or turn on the exhaust fan to reduce humidity in the shower. Marble is a porous rock that tends to absorb chemicals and dyes that are found in traditional cleaners. We see mold the most in grout or in corners of marble showers.

However common marble shower stains happen because of shampoos soap scum and even rust. Unfortunately there are also drawbacks with marble especially when you have to clean it. The bleach works great because it kills the mold and also helps to remove the mold stain that is left behind once the mold is gone.
